Budget Scrutiny:

• Committee scrutiny of the Scottish Government's draft budget 2010-2011.
• Committee scrutiny of the Scottish Government's draft budget 2009-2010. The Committee has published its report to the Finance Committee on the Scottish Government's draft budget 2009-10. The Scottish Government has responded  to the Committee's report.

Inquiries:

• Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) inquiry: The Committee published its report entitled child and adolecsent mental health and well being on 23 June 2009. The Committee received a response from the Scottish Government to the findings and recommendations of this report on 31 August 2009.
• Pathways into sport inquiry: The Committee published its report entitled Pathways into Sport and Physical Activity on 14 May 2009. The Committee received a response from the Scottish Government to this report on 21 August 2009. The Committee received a response from sportscotland to this report on 2 September 2009.
• Health Inequalities: The Committee has now completed this inquiry and has published its response to the Scottish Government (PDF 87.4KB).

• Shifting the Balance of Health care: The Role of Rehabilitation Services: The Committee wrote to the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Wellbeing outlining the key themes to emerge from written evidence on this subject. The written evidence and Scottish Government's response can be found by following the above link.

Legislation:

• The Health Boards (Membership and Elections) (Scotland) Bill: The Bill passed Stage 1 on 15 January 2009, Stage 2 on 4 February 2009 with the Stage 3 debate on 12 March 2009. It received Royal Assent on 22 April 2009.

Miscellaneous Business:

• Mental Health Services for Deaf and Deafblind People: Oral evidence taken on 4th June 2008 and 11th June 2008. The Committee agreed to maintain a watching brief on the issue. On 28 October 2008 the Scottish Government wrote to the Committee with an update on the Scottish Goverment's evaluation of the case for specialist inpatient services.
• "Delivering Fair Shares for Health in Scotland": The Committee held a one-off evidence session with the NHS Scotland Resource Allocation Committee.

Petitions:

• PE1138: By Erica Woollcombe, on the provision of ice rinks.
• PE1173: By Parisa Tadjali, on the provision of local sports facilities.
• PE1205: By Chris Gallacher on behalf of the Save Meadowbank Campaign, on local authority provision of sports facilities.
• PE789. On supervision of prescribed methadone consumption. The Committee agreed to close the petition after receiving details from the Scottish Government about measures it intends to take to investigate a possible link between methadone-related deaths and prescribing policy.
