As a member of the Scottish Parliament’s football team, I played in an inter-Parliamentary tournament in support of the Community Shield in London on 4 August 2007. The event was sponsored by McDonalds and the accommodation and hospitality totalled approximately £570. I also received a gift of 6 Community Shield tickets (value approximately £450) which were made available for distribution. The total value of this gift is between £1,001 and £2,000. As a member of the Scottish Parliament’s football team, I played in an inter-Parliamentary tournament in support of the Community Shield in London on 10 August 2008. The event was sponsored by McDonalds, (McDonalds Restaurants Ltd of 11 – 59 High Road, East Finchley, London N2 8AW). The cost of the accommodation and hospitality, which totalled approximately £675, was met by McDonalds. As part of the event I was also given a gift of six match tickets for the Community Shield with a total value of £240, the cost of which was met by McDonalds. I donated these tickets to Glencastle Sparta A.F.C., a local sports club. The total value of this gift is therefore between £501 and £1,000 (approximately £915). [Registered 25 August 2008].
On 16 March 2008 I attended the CIS Cup final as a guest of CIS (of Miller Street, Manchester, M60 0AL). The monetary value of a match ticket and hospitality was approximately £225 plus VAT. On 15 March 2009 I attended the CIS Cup Final with a guest, as guests of CIS. The total value of hospitality and match tickets was approximately £500. The total value of these gifts is therefore between £501 and £1,000. [Registered 14 April 2009]

The Scottish Co-operative Party made a donation of £1000 towards expenses incurred by my candidature at the 2007 Scottish Parliament election. No payment was received by me personally but was paid directly to the Labour Party.
On 17 November 2007 I attended the Scotland v Italy football game at Hampden as a guest of McDonalds. The ticket and hospitality is valued at approximately £300. [Registered 26 November 2007]
On 16 March 2008 I attended the CIS Cup final as a guest of CIS. The ticket and hospitality is valued at approximately £225 plus VAT. I consider this interest to be a ceased interest from 14 April 2009, when I registered this interest with a similar gift from CIS in the registrable category of Gifts.
