On 27 June 2002, the Parliament passed the Scottish Parliamentary Standards Commissioner Act, establishing an independent Commissioner to deal with complaints against Members. Details of the complaints procedure are outlined in Section 9 of the Code of Conduct for Members of the Scottish Parliament.
